I spent my entire first wage on my first camera. It was a Zenith TTL, and I photographed just about everything I could with it, but mainly people and architecture. Following that came my interest in nature. Nowadays I devote most of my time to graphics, computer animation and, more recently, filming. Film is my dream, which after many years I have decided to bring to reality.
ProgRockFest?
Dorota always had unusal ideas. One year she took me to attend a dance tournament. It never occurred to me to ask her first which one. When I got there it turned out we were supposed to photograph contemporary dance blended with Hip Hop – twelve solid hours of Hip Hop!! So, whenever after that she proposed an outing for a concert photo session I made sure that I asked her what kind of music it would be!
Rock and progressive rock has been the music of my choice for many a year. For the last two editions me and Dorota are partners of ProgRockFest. Thanks to this, I’ve had the opportunity to spend many hours with musicians, including during rehearsal sessions. In my pictures I try to capture the atmosphere and emotions of the concerts. This is, essentially, something which it is not easy to record, but can be done by using the beat of the music around me to help.
