Lizard

Lizard

Lizard – 35 years of progressive rock beyond the mainstream.

Lizard is a Polish rock band formed in 1990 in Bielsko-Biała by vocalist and guitarist Damian Bydliński. From the very beginning, the group has built its own distinctive style, combining rock with elements of jazz and classical music. Drawing inspiration from legendary bands such as Emerson, Lake and Palmer, UK and King Crimson – whose album Lizard directly inspired the band’s name – the group has forged a unique sound they themselves describe as “anti-mainstream.”

Throughout their 35-year career, Lizard has shared the stage with some of the greatest names in rock history, including Emerson, Lake & Palmer, Jethro Tull, Uriah Heep, Wishbone Ash, Porcupine Tree, SBB, Fish and Lucifer's Friend. Their discography features seven studio albums and two live records, solidifying their status as one of the leading progressive rock acts in Poland.

Currently, the band is putting the finishing touches on their latest studio album, Tonquebreaker. The release will mark a highlight of the jubilee year 2025, when Lizard celebrates its 35th anniversary.
